STYLE SCHOOL is founded by leading Fashion Stylist Alex Longmore. She has over 15 years of experience in the industry styling world class celebrities, dictating future fashion trends and producing iconic images. Her knowledge is endless working on magazine and newspaper editorial, advising many leading companies and appearing on TV.
Her aim with Style School is to teach the valuable techniques she has learned and pass them down to a new generation of Fashionistas. At Style School you learn the essential knowledge and understanding needed to make it in the Fashion Industry.
Based in Central London, Style School prides itself on its accessibility. Courses are open to anyone and we do not require any academic qualifications to enroll. Course groups are small to maximize the students learning potential.
The curriculum at Style School is both practical and creative. There are visiting speakers from all corners of the Fashion World, leading experts in their field come to lecture and share there valuable experiences. These include Fashion Editors, Buyers, Designers, Marketing Experts, Journalists, Models, Model Booker’s, Photographers and Bloggers.
At the end of each course each student is put to the test as they are required to style and direct their very own fashion shoot. Objectives include casting models from leading Model Agencies, styling looks for the shoot, and working within a team to create a series of cutting edge images, with a view to starting their first portfolio of work.
Unique to Style School is our Mentoring Scheme. This innovative system is put in place to help support each student after graduation. The Mentors manage your expectations by offering unbridled advice and help with CV building and job applications. This service is available to all Style School graduates. We aim to give each student as much support as possible when starting out in the industry.
The ‘One to One Mentoring Scheme’ will include:
CV building, interview techniques, career counselling and brainstorming sessions, job applications, work placement offers, career development skills, social networking opportunities.
