Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to design her first lingerie collection for M&S

News just in! Supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has just announced she will be designing her first ever lingerie collection in collaboration with Marks and Spencer. No stranger to M&S, Rosie has previously modelled for their ad campaigns alongside Hollywood hunk Ryan Reynolds. Speaking of the exciting news Rosie said ‘M&S is an iconic British brand, adored by many so I’m very excited to be launching my debut lingerie line with them’. The collection will be named ‘Rosie for Autograph’ and it will comprise of 33 pieces, including luxurious silk lingerie sets, cami and French knicker sets, a teddy and a kimono style robe. Printed pieces are adorned with beautiful rose prints in muted tones and deco inspired detailing evokes the glamour of the 20s era.

Rosie for Autograph will launch in Autumn later this year.

The Voice Versus BGT

Britain’s Got Talent has long been a television favourite among the nation. However, since the recent rise of The Voice which began over in the States that has no doubt left Mr Cowell shaking in his boots, the nation is divided. Here we take a look at the differences between the two, who wears what and which comes out on top. TV ratings show that when the two shows went head to head (Before Simon Cowell made the decision to change the timings allowing viewers to watch one after the other) The Voice had 10 Million viewers whilst BGT had only 6.4 Million. As always, all eyes are on the ladies of the show as we watch in anticipation to know what they will be wearing week after week. Last night both Holly Willoughby and Jessie J were dressed in Dolce & Gabbana. From presenters to judges, there is no doubt that this year the fashion stakes are up even higher as the two shows go head to head in showcasing some rather spectacular outfits.

Long has she been a fan of the Arts Club, she is often spotted leaving the venue with her celebrity pals in tow. Ruby Aldridge

Up and coming model Ruby Aldridge is capturing us all with her enviable off duty street style. Born into a fashion famous family, her sisters Lily and Saffron and her Mother are also models. Probably most notable is Lily who is currenty a Victorias’s Secret Angel. Known mostly for her lean figure, Ruby has already been the face of Marc Jacobs in their editorial adverts and is a frequent on the catwalks at Fashion Week. This week asked Italian designer Emilio Cavallini, who is famous for his striking hosiery collections 5 questions about his career and the inspiration behind his brand. His designs have been worn by Singers and Actresses such as Emma Stone, Blake Lively, Jessie J and Nicki Minaj, who is frequently seen out and about wearing a paris of Emilio Cavallini tights.

1) What is the inspiration behind your designs?

It is born from what is fashionable at the time; from forever changing and recycled trends. There is so much that goes on all over the world, and I am really inspired by my travelling and the forever changing world around us. From the news, cinema, music, lifestyle – the inspiration behind my designs comes from being in the moment.

2) What made you want to specialise in hosiery?

My working in hosiery really was fate. I wanted to be working in fashion from a very young age and hosiery was my calling. I met Mary Quant and she really inspired me, I came to London and did an internship with her. She asked a number of people if they wanted to work in hosiery, and how they would want to – very few people knew what they thought about hosiery but I knew straight away.

3) Who would you love to see wearing your tights?

The everyday girl on the street, the girl next door…

4) Which are your favourite items from the collection

My favourite has always been fishnet tights.

5) A Designer should always…

Design the right pieces for the right people, designers should always bring something new to the table that people want and like. Getting the trends right for your collection is so important.
